The act of sharing our story is just one piece of the puzzle. A movement can start with one voice -- but that one voice needs an entire community with resources behind it.

Graced to Overcome is about sharing and overcoming trauma. While the individual is empowered within our community, we're also focused on the bigger picture.

By working with local advocacy leaders, local organizations, government officials, religious leaders, and others, our intent is to educate and promote awareness. Our main focuses are domestic violence, human exploitation and trafficking, and other common traumas that have impacted individuals (and even entire families) within our communities.

We'll use our resources and platform to spread awareness of the concepts that lead to trauma. Explaining the history of human trafficking and slavery, as well as the process of psychological grooming in abusive relationships, can be a powerful step. Helping others outside of these traumatic situations understand what psychological grooming is and the harm it can do, for example, can help our society gain widespread understanding. And knowing what human traffickers do to gain control over their victims can empower community members to protect themselves and others.

But we won't stop at spreading awareness about human exploitation and trafficking or educating others about the history of human trafficking and slavery. Speaking at events is one part of our mission. We show that 'We Care' by providing therapeutic counseling, essential supplies, shelter, and a safe space to families in need of our services. In so doing, we can address both the needs of the individual and the community-at-large.

Sharing our stories can be incredibly powerful -- whether on a mentor-to-mentee basis or as part of a larger campaign to educate the masses. Here, you can find resources to improve your own awareness and the awareness of others around you. By supporting our mission to provide support to trauma survivors and to educate others on the harms caused by human exploitation and trafficking, domestic violence, and other events, you can play a role in maintaining our presence in five states nationwide.

We need you.
